one to one behaviour solutions
Sometimes it seems that everyone else's dog is perfect while yours has their little quirks that quickly become more annoying than endearing and sometimes even dangerous. The good news is that it doesn't need to be that way! Most problems are simply a break down of communication between you and your dog, you mean one thing the dog thinks you mean another. I can help to open the communication (don't worry I will not ask for you to learn how to bark or crawl around on all fours) and together we can work on giving your dog what it needs from you and in turn give you the dog you always wanted.
How it works.
Telephone Interview - No Charge
It's important that you feel comfortable with me and I believe that I can help you, we will start off with a telephone consultation that will last roughly half an hour. During which I would like to get as much information as possible and get a feel for the problem and work out a schedule and details of what happens next.
Initial Observation and Consultation - £25
The idea of the initial observation and consultation is to get more information and for me to have a chance to observe the problem behaviour and your relationship with your dog in person. I will suggest a plan and how long I think we will be working together. I will explain how I work with the emphasis on flexibility, I want to find a solution that works for you and your situation. I generally suggest that there is either a week or fortnight between sessions depending on your circumstances and progression between sessions.
Sessions - £35
To get the most out of the sessions I will need you to have completed any tasks I have set to the best of your ability, and fill in a daily log so that I can see what is working or not working. I will check the log before the session so that I am coming to you with relevant information and strategies. You will not be on your own between the sessions and I will follow up both by telephone and email. It's important that we have open and honest communication so that if something is not working I can make sure that the steps are being followed correctly, or change strategies.
Most people see improvements within 4 sessions, some people need less and some need more. We will review the situation at the end of session 4 and see what our next options are.
There may be an additional charge dependant on location.
Musket the tenacious boarder terrier.
Musket is a young boarder terrier full of attitude, a lot different from his older more laid back pack mate Archie. Musket had a tendency to steal food off people's plates and even out of one person's mouth. He would also growl, nip and bite people if they tried to pick him up or move him off the sofa. Working with the family we agreed on a strategy to prevent the food stealing and I demonstrated how to move Musket from the sofa, how to pick him up and deal with his aggressive behaviour.
"Musket can be a problematic dog to say the least, but Sally has improved his behaviour considerably. Through using innovative and effective yet simple
